Opportunities for Service in Music Ministry

Cantors: Cantors assist the congregation in singing during liturgies. This ministry is open to all adults and middle school age youth and older who enjoy and have the gift of singing. Cantors meet the 1st Tuesday of the month at 6:00 p.m. in the church to rehearse.

OLP Choristers: Choristers is a long standing choral tradition in the Roman Catholic Church. Choristers is a choir comprised of parish school children who have the gift of singing and are trained to excel in the musical art of song for the purpose of worship. Choristers is open to singers in third grade through eighth grade. The children attend rehearsal weekly at one of the three sections.

Instrumentalists: Persons who play orchestral or acoustical instruments are welcome to play at our weekend Masses. The skill leveled required is a minimum of 3 years or an intermediate level.

Parish Choir: The Parish Choir sings at 10:00am Mass throughout the year. Choir membership is open to adults and high school age youth who enjoy and have the gift of singing. Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 6:30pm either in the Music Ministry Room or church.

Saturday Ensemble: The  Saturday Ensemble provides music at the 4:30pm Saturday Mass. This combination of instrumentalists and vocal choir is open to parishioners of all ages who enjoy singing or playing an instrument. Rehearsals are at 3:30pm on Saturdays in the Music Ministry Room.

Sunday Ensemble: The Sunday Ensemble provides music at the 8:00am Sunday Mass. This choir is open to parishioners of all ages who enjoy singing or playing an instrument. Rehearsals are at 7:30am on Sundays in the Music Ministry Room.

Youth Mass Ensemble: The Youth choir and musicians provide music leadership on the 4th Sunday of the month at the 12:00pm Sunday Mass. The group is open to youth in Middle through High School. The group rehearses on the Fourth Sunday of the month at 11:00 a.m. in the Church.


Contemporary Mass Ensemble:  The Ensemble provides contemporary Christian music on the 4th Sunday of the month at the 12:00pm Mass.  The group rehearses on the Fourth Sunday of the month at 11:00am in the Music Ministry Room.
