Our Lady of the Presentation School serves children in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. As a school in the Diocese of Kansas City-St. Joseph system, OLP is dually accredited by the Missouri Non-Public Accrediting Association and Advanced Ed. We strive to meet the needs of all students; spiritually, emotionally and academically. Our mission is to create an environment in which children can begin the process of finding meaning and purpose for their lives which is part of God’s plan. We are proud to offer a quality academic education coupled with a strong faith formation.
All students at OLP benefit from instructional support through the Accelerated Reading, Accelerated Math and SuccessMaker programs which assist teachers in meeting individual student needs. We are fortunate to have a dedicated staff to include a school counselor, resource teacher, technology specialist, and registered nurses to assist students. OLP is pleased to be a recipient of a F.I.R.E. (Foundation for Inclusive Religious Education) grant that supports para-professionals working with students who would not be able to receive a Catholic education without additional classroom support. Presentation students have the opportunity to nurture their Catholic faith by attending weekly Mass, participating in prayer throughout the day, attending prayer services, planning Stations of the Cross and various other religious activities. Students live out their faith through service to their parish and greater community.
OLP School is the proud recipient of the United States Department of Education 2014 Blue Ribbon School Award and the 2014 Lee’s Summit Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year Award. For three consecutive years, OLP School has been named in the KC Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Private Schools. OLP is honored to Lee’s Summit’s premiere Catholic school!
